Haiti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benjamim Trancoso ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 11 played minutes XV de Indaial got a freekick which was hit by Didier Penven. Ovidio Raymundo scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noel Seide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Noel Seide came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by XV de Indaial's Ovidio Raymundo. But to his dismay, Ovidio Raymundo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jonathan Alphonse in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Osmar Antunes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Raymundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Rodney Emmanuel threw the ball into play from the sideline. XV de Indaial's Sílvio Coutinho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Haiti booed when XV de Indaial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ovidio Raymundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidio Raymundo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ovidio Raymundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Noel Seide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidio Raymundo in the 74th minute. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ernso Constant hit a great ball. Noel Seide stood somewhat misplaced when Ovidio Raymundo came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 82 minute. Ovidio Raymundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
