After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Joel Classon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Mattias Håkansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lars Gunnarsson hit a great ball. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Håkansson having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga scored 1-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mattias Håkansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Karlsborg's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Håkansson came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sune Nyberg made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kenny Ekeberg. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karlsborg's goalie prevented a goal. In the 57th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mattias Håkansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 61 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mattias Håkansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mattias Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 77 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Karlsborg got a freekick which was hit by Villiam Andersson. Mattias Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 82nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mattias Håkansson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mattias Håkansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Joel Classon hit a great ball. Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 94th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg's Joel Classon got a free kick in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
