BAR100LONA's Tadeusz Szotek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 20th minute of play. Naldo Paraibano made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. Maximiliano Escribano might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeusz Szotek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximiliano Escribano ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 played minutes, BAR100LONA's Naldo Paraibano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Naldo Paraibano in the 77 minute of the game. Johannes Blom hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Tadeusz Szotek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, João Paulo Munhoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. BAR100LONA's Tadeusz Szotek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save BAR100LONA from getting a goal against them.
