Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jan-Åke Hallgren made the kick off and thus started the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Åke Hallgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Bennis's Eddie Hultman. But to his dismay, Eddie Hultman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jan-Åke Hallgren succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. In the 18th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Hugo Ferrant in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bennis's Florian Siembab. 20 minutes into the game, Jan-Åke Hallgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bennis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Bennis's Eddie Hultman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 28th minute, Eddie Hultman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Hallgren in the 31st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bennis booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Hugo Ferrant in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bennis's Florian Siembab. After a rather tough play, Bennis's Vincent Mattsson got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Hultman in the 44th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Bennis made a substitution. Per Lundkvist replaced Axel Wassenius. 65 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Hultman came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Hultman in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Lautaro Puig fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcus Vase, passed just outside the right post. Bennis made a substitution. Freddy Mingo replaced Jan-Åke Hallgren. Eddie Hultman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Eddie Hultman made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Eddie Hultman took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. The supporters of Bennis booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Eddie Hultman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bennis's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddie Hultman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Mingo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddy Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Freddy Mingo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Eddie Hultman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot.
