An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 3rd minute of play forced Estudiantes de rio IV's goalkeeper Emilio Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 8th minute of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Dalmacio Musko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Dalmacio Musko in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 20 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Emilio Palos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Dalmacio Musko scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Palos saved Estudiantes de rio IV from getting behind. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Estudiantes de rio IV's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Estudiantes de rio IV's goal. 37 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilio Palos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalmacio Musko to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Emilio Palos. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Emilio Palos made a huge save. After 67 played minutes Estudiantes de rio IV got a freekick which was hit by Candido Chan. Estudiantes de rio IV made a substitution. Robustiano Bittor replaced Uriel Afonso. Candido Chan kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de rio IV's goalkeeper Emilio Palos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 74 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilio Palos. Estudiantes de rio IV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. If Dalmacio Musko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Musko in the 78th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Musko in the 79th minute of the match. Estudiantes de rio IV's Dalmacio Musko got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 84th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Estudiantes de rio IV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manuel Quiroga in the 88th minute. Manuel Quiroga made a great header on Estudiantes de rio IV's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. The Estudiantes de rio IV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
