Tifo Marinović came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Classe A Futebol Clube's Diego Ribas. But to his dismay, Diego Ribas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 39th minute Marcos Akerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Akerman charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Akerman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Obrero Barquisimeto's Marcos Akerman got a free kick in the 44th minute. A hard shot by Pierre Gasly from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Tifo Marinović's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The Obrero Barquisimeto fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Obrero Barquisimeto's Marcos Akerman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tifo Marinović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Ribas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Ribas scored 2-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tifo Marinović, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Classe A Futebol Clube's Felippe de Souza was substituted for Pierre Gasly. Lewis Hamilton made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felippe de Souza however managed to control. Wilson Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Classe A Futebol Clube booed when Obrero Barquisimeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xurde Buiza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tifo Marinović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Ribas in the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Wilson Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tifo Marinović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
