Viljami Virtala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kustaa Esala in the 19th minute of play. Taito Turpeinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Kustaa Esala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Liverpool FC's Kustaa Esala in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kustaa Esala in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. With his leg Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tuukka Liimatainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kustaa Esala in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Taito Turpeinen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Taito Turpeinen came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Paul Vauhkonen fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liverpool FC's protests and gave Paul Vauhkonen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Vauhkonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tuukka Liimatainen. 59 minutes into the game, Tuukka Liimatainen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Liverpool FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liverpool FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
