Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Otto Zuidam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toto Arebam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nigeria's Olawale Dimeji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Tuhuteru in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Marcus Tuhuteru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olawale Dimeji saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olawale Dimeji was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Marcus Tuhuteru capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcus Tuhuteru really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Otto Zuidam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Onyewuchi Obikwelu went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Gerrit Bos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 34th playminute. With a little luck, Springplank FC's Otto Zuidam got control of the ball when Onyewuchi Obikwelu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nwakego Usideme kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Marcus Tuhuteru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olawale Dimeji was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Casper Ottens scored 5-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olawale Dimeji, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Nigeria's goal looked a bit too open when Arnout Lembeck came free, but Olawale Dimeji reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Chiazagom Adebona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Zuidam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnout Lembeck in the 84th minute of play forced Nigeria's goalkeeper Olawale Dimeji to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The coaching staff of Nigeria protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Effiong Adebiyi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Springplank FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Nigeria for a fine match.
