The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Tonio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 8 minutes into the match, C.A.All Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Silvestre Tonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.All Boys's Silvestre Tonio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Florentino Domiku tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Augusto Sedeni sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla stood somewhat misplaced when Augusto Sedeni came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 27 minute. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Florentino Domiku kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, C.A.All Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Silvestre Tonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Tonio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.A.All Boys's Humberto Inguma quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tomas Berganza, made in the 36th minute of the game. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Augusto Sedeni tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of C.A.All Boys booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

C.A.All Boys's Fausto Domenec was substituted for Filomeno Dei. Florentino Domiku sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A.All Boys fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
