Spectators: 46 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Perivaldo Eger started the match with the kick off. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerrit Bos in the 6th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias de Ruijter got free with Otto Zuidam in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Reis in the 18th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Mathias de Ruijter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Otto Zuidam was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goalkeeper Otto Zuidam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perivaldo Eger. 28 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Eger came free, but Otto Zuidam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otto Zuidam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 31st minute of play. Otto Zuidam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias de Ruijter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias de Ruijter got free with Otto Zuidam in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Otto Zuidam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 38th minute of play. When Perivaldo Eger came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the De Pelgrims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perivaldo Eger couldn't finish the play. After 44 minutes, Theo Tuyp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Pelgrims and the Springplank FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Tuyp to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Tuhuteru came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goalkeeper Otto Zuidam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perivaldo Eger. The supporters of Springplank FC booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erben Roelofs didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute, Erben Roelofs fired away a free kick at goal. It was hit a tad too hard, and went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Otto Zuidam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias de Ruijter, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Perivaldo Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Otto Zuidam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerrit Bos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mike Zoetmulder. That made the score 2-1 in the 61 minute of play. A collision led to Springplank FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Marcus Tuhuteru hit a great ball. When Henk Cardinaal came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the De Pelgrims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henk Cardinaal couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 75th minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Otto Zuidam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Pelgrims's Henk Cardinaal got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Springplank FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Zé Pedro Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Pelgrims's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otto Zuidam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Montrel Perpiñán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Zuidam having to interfere. In the 90th minute Perivaldo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Zuidam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias de Ruijter came free, but Otto Zuidam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otto Zuidam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 95th minute of the match. After 97 minutes Springplank FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fu Peng Feng who took care of the corner kick. De Pelgrims's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
