Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ademir Soares started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Meninos De Cotia's goalkeeper Hugo Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Nicanor Seber hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Rodrigues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Meninos De Cotia's Hugo Rodrigues got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ademir Soares struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meninos De Cotia. Meninos De Cotia's Hugo Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Meninos De Cotia from getting a goal against them. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Meninos De Cotia's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Meninos De Cotia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Bezerra in the 26th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Meninos De Cotia's Hugo Rodrigues got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Meninos De Cotia's goalkeeper Hugo Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Meninos De Cotia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Hugo Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Meninos De Cotia's Jeremias Seco. But to his dismay, Jeremias Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo Rodrigues firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hugo Rodrigues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Rodrigues having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Hugo Rodrigues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramon Del Piero in the 55th minute. Silvestre Corderro's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Corderro helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Meninos De Cotia got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Corderro. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hugo Rodrigues in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hugo Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Del Piero in the 67th minute of play. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ramon Del Piero in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustin Ostermann in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play forced Meninos De Cotia's goalkeeper Hugo Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Meninos De Cotia's Ramon Del Piero got a free kick in the 88th minute. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Jeremias Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ramon Del Piero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, Meninos De Cotia still came away with the win.
