The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Pastor Nofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Nofre in the 4th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markus Smart made in the 6th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pastor Nofre immediately put the ball in play. Elpidio Francis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dalmacio Pello came out and tried to block the shot, but Elpidio Francis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Nofre in the 21st minute of play. Arnaldo Gabon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Dalmacio Pello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Faustino Unax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Tello AFC's Dalmacio Pello got control of the ball when Arnaldo Gabon tried to sneak it across the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Unax in the 42nd minute of play.

They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
