Atahan Balon came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis. But to his dismay, Elpidio Francis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Atahan Balon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Francis in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luka Ljubenković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atahan Balon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Jérémie Boix scored 4-3 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Branislav Velchevski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Los Muchachos del 86's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
