After taking down the ball on Corinthians FC's corner Len Woolford fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bernardo Raggio quite easily take care of the ball. Corinthians FC's Torstein Stenseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Judas Verón in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Belgrano de Pibasog were awarded a corner. Pawel Grabowicz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Corinthians FC's goalie and right to Judas Verón. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Corinthians FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Judas Verón in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torstein Stenseth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 minutes Corinthians FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pawel Grabowicz who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Corinthians FC's goalie and right to Eustaquio Fortun. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Corinthians FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Rodney Renwick fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corinthians FC's protests and gave Rodney Renwick a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Corinthians FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rodney Renwick hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Judas Verón in the 23rd minute of play forced Corinthians FC's goalkeeper Torstein Stenseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvio Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torstein Stenseth having to interfere. Judas Verón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Judas Verón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torstein Stenseth was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torstein Stenseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eustaquio Fortun hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Judas Verón in the 47th minute of play forced Corinthians FC's goalkeeper Torstein Stenseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Judas Verón to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Stu Dunning mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians FC and the Belgrano de Pibasog players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Corinthians FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stu Dunning to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Judas Verón kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Torstein Stenseth. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Judas Verón got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Belgrano de Pibasog's Melquiades Henrico was substituted for Justino Frederico. Torstein Stenseth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Judas Verón in the 60th minute. After 64 played minutes Corinthians FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Renwick. With a little luck, Corinthians FC's Torstein Stenseth got control of the ball when Judas Verón tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Judas Verón in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torstein Stenseth saved Corinthians FC from getting behind. Judas Verón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torstein Stenseth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Corinthians FC booed when Belgrano de Pibasog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Silvio Abadia got a free kick in the 77th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Iulian Ilinca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Torstein Stenseth. That made the score 0-4 in the 80 minute of play. Torstein Stenseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Ilinca in the 84th minute of the match. Belgrano de Pibasog's Silvio Abadia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodney Renwick in the 88 minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Iulian Ilinca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Torstein Stenseth. That made the score 0-5 in the 89 minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torstein Stenseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torstein Stenseth was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iulian Ilinca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 94 minute of play. Belgrano de Pibasog's Garcia Morros was substituted for Honorato Jerrold. The Corinthians FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Belgrano de Pibasog were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
