Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Corinthians FC's Francis Curtis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Corinthians FC's Torstein Stenseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Judas Verón in the 5th minute of play. After 7 minutes Corinthians FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eustaquio Fortun who took care of the corner kick. When Silvio Abadia came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Belgrano de Pibasog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Abadia couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Judas Verón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters rose to their feet, but Judas Verón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torstein Stenseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Judas Verón in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torstein Stenseth saved Corinthians FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Corinthians FC defense, Judas Verón kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Torstein Stenseth. The Corinthians FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torstein Stenseth should have stopped the shot. When Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corinthians FC's goalie prevented a goal. 20 minutes into the game, Judas Verón cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Torstein Stenseth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torstein Stenseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Judas Verón in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvio Abadia got free with Torstein Stenseth in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corinthians FC's Torstein Stenseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Judas Verón in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Curtis came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Judas Verón sped through Corinthians FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torstein Stenseth. 45 minutes into the match, Judas Verón notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Corinthians FC's Torstein Stenseth. Torstein Stenseth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Judas Verón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Belgrano de Pibasog got a corner. Corinthians FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eustaquio Fortun ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Eustaquio Fortun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Torstein Stenseth quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Judas Verón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torstein Stenseth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Stu Dunning was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgrano de Pibasog the free kick. In the 59th minute, one of Corinthians FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corinthians FC. Eustaquio Fortun walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 64 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torstein Stenseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Belgrano de Pibasog's Erasmo Jaunzuria managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Damaso Casomiro in the 65 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Judas Verón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torstein Stenseth was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Torstein Stenseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Ilinca in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute Iulian Ilinca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torstein Stenseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Len Woolford in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francis Curtis. Torstein Stenseth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Ilinca's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Iulian Ilinca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Melquiades Henrico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Ilinca in the 96th minute of play forced Corinthians FC's goalkeeper Torstein Stenseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torstein Stenseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Ilinca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
