Genílson Figueiredo hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Zane Platt in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vykans Vikingar's Mats Hermansson. Ron Tomkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Mutumba, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zackary Hunter in the 13th minute of play. Zackary Hunter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus Ekrot came out and tried to block the shot, but Zackary Hunter slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. When Nils Bohr came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Baby Snakes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Bohr couldn't finish the play. Fernan Berart charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernan Berart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Baby Snakes booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Berart didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Abdi Revis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baby Snakes's Ron Tomkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Leonardo Trancoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ron Tomkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Bohr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teofilo Unai's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcus Ekrot firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Baby Snakes's Nils Bohr slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcus Ekrot. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. In the 36th minute, Zackary Hunter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Martin Mutumba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vykans Vikingar's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Mutumba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ron Tomkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Baby Snakes's Genílson Figueiredo got a free kick in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
