Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Furtado in the 3rd minute of play. Kalle Askberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Rinaldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Erland Kvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Sangermano having to interfere. Kalle Askberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Furtado in the 10th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Karl-Magnus Hansson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fortunato Sangermano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Davide Rinaldi took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kalle Askberg. Kalle Askberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jan Håning hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Fortunato Sangermano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Håning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Kleanthis Zoumakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Askberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg got control of the ball when Davide Rinaldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kalle Askberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kleanthis Zoumakis in the 32nd minute of the match. Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Hansson in the 33rd minute of play. Kalle Askberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kleanthis Zoumakis in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kleanthis Zoumakis in the 38th minute of play forced Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Kalle Askberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Herta Budino's Pedro Velasco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kalle Askberg. Kalle Askberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Fortunato Sangermano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alf Hansson's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kleanthis Zoumakis in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kalle Askberg saved Sundborn IF from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgílio Furtado to strike the kick off in the second half. Herta Budino's Kleanthis Zoumakis got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54thth minute of the game Davide Rinaldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 57th minute of play. Sundborn IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fábio Grosso ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Liu Ying Qing heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Sundborn IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
