In the 23rd minute Turgay Revha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Sjöö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Çakabey Olcaytu came free, but Kjell Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ionel Grigorie came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the CİMBOMBOM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Grigorie couldn't finish the play. Kjell Sjöö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turgay Revha in the 36th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Vihonský to make the kick off. Turgay Revha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Kjell Sjöö made a huge save. The supporters of Curiphila Eagles booed when CİMBOMBOM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionel Grigorie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Vihonský received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Mari Juanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjell Sjöö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sezen Arısal in the 71st minute of the match. When Ahmet Hafiz Ünal fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CİMBOMBOM's protests and gave Ahmet Hafiz Ünal a yellow card for diving instead.
