He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curiphila Eagles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Aston Villa F.C. Mário Corrêa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kjell Sjöö. 0-1. With a little luck, Aston Villa F.C's Duda Berger got control of the ball when Khaidir Sopandi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Lúcio Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aston Villa F.C's Duda Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Sá in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duda Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Curiphila Eagles fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Curiphila Eagles's Lúcio Sá looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lúcio Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Curiphila Eagles's Kjell Sjöö proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Curiphila Eagles from getting a goal against them. Mathias Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Freire came free, but Kjell Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Aston Villa F.C got a freekick which was hit by Thorsten Schuhmacher. Thorsten Schuhmacher kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to Aston Villa F.C getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Nico Itajaí hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Curiphila Eagles's Piearres Holgado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duda Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Duda Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Sá in the 93rd minute of play. Aston Villa F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
