Edmond Verdun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Agulescu in the 11th minute of play. Călin Prunaru made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Pastor Ado sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Pastor Ado could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Călin Prunaru however easily saved by the left post. In the 18th minute Viktor Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pau Novo in the 22nd minute of the match. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Agulescu in the 25th minute of play. When FC MCM's Cătălin Agulescu, in the 25th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for FC MCM. In the 46th minute, Errecaborda AFC's Prospero Jerardo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Prospero Jerardo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Errecaborda AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Prospero Jerardo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 45 minutes into the game, one of Errecaborda AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 48 minutes of play, FC MCM's Cristi Maniu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmond Verdun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Isidro Gines made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Valko De Hond. Manuel Theobald hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC MCM's Cristi Maniu tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edmond Verdun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Isbășoiu's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Edmond Verdun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viktor Axelsson in the 61st minute. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pau Novo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cătălin Agulescu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. FC MCM's Radomil Redisz was substituted for Cătălin Agulescu. After a defensive mix-up in FC MCM's zone, Mauro Rameriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Călin Prunaru came out of the goal and Mauro Rameriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Cârnu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Rameriz in the 83rd minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Călin Prunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vali Cârnu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Edmond Verdun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 92 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Valko De Hond. If Adrian Isbășoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC MCM's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
