Dráuzio Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hugo Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd play minute Hugo Barreto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-0. In the 25th match minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Salgado to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Hugo Barreto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Hugo Barreto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Tomas Illescas spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's goal. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Hugo Barreto scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Robbie Lefevere got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Cléber Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Barreto was the one to do the kick off. Cauan Salgado hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Hugo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Cléber Souza managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Dráuzio Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Barreto in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
