Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stavros Antzas took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omiros Ntounos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Paris Georgiadis hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Andino during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ the free kick. Stavros Antzas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Stavros Antzas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Stavros Antzas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Thanasis Malioufas sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Julio Vera threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Thanasis Malioufas this time. Omiros Ntounos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Stavros Antzas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adamantios Akrivos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Stavros Antzas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stavros Antzas in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stavros Antzas in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stavros Antzas. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stavros Antzas in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 53 minutes, Stavros Antzas made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Farid Delecroix in the 64th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Paris Georgiadis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 64 played minutes ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ got a freekick which was hit by Paris Georgiadis. In the 66th minute, Paris Georgiadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's Omiros Ntounos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute of play. Zinon Makridakis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute Stavros Antzas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Omiros Ntounos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stavros Antzas, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adamantios Akrivos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Alkis Kalipolitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zinon Makridakis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 97th minute Stavros Antzas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
