Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Chucky Mastropiero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Chucky Mastropiero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Chucky Mastropiero came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Peñaloza's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chucky Mastropiero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evelio Dacio. The throw-in from Anibal Gaitan in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Zarco Figueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chucky Mastropiero to strike the kick off in the second half. Peñaloza's Evelio Dacio got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Dacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Anibal Gaitan charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Gaitan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zarco Figueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Patricio Costa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 74th minute. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Peñaloza's Chucky Mastropiero got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Chucky Mastropiero notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Peñaloza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Ferrando didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Peñaloza's Anibal Gaitan got a free kick in the 95th minute.
