The excitement rose when G.R.'s Joshua Ziss after 17 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Panama's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rozen Lipsky. The goal made the score 1-1. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Miralles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rozen Lipsky having to interfere. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Panama booed when G.R. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jankel Veneziani didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

G.R.'s Goel Glauberman was substituted for Akiba Gilardi. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toren Potterman made a kick off. Isidoro Sarmiento took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rozen Lipsky. Rozen Lipsky dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the G.R. defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rozen Lipsky. The G.R. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rozen Lipsky should have stopped the shot. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rozen Lipsky tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. A collision led to G.R. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Toren Potterman hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in G.R.'s zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rozen Lipsky came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Goel Glauberman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rozen Lipsky saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes, Tomas Berganza made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. G.R.'s Rozen Lipsky tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rozen Lipsky read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Rozen Lipsky. G.R.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. 81 minutes into the game, G.R.'s Toren Potterman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. In the 83rd minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Rozen Lipsky. G.R.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2.
