Pepe Toxeiro came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Renato Tapia sent off a good shot on target. Pepe Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Rubén Blanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pepe Toxeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 25th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Pepe Toxeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute Real Club Celta de Vigo were awarded a corner. Guillermo Marin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Calisto Camacho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 47thth minute of the game Renato Tapia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Renato Tapia made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Everardo Arias got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Pepe Toxeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 79th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepe Toxeiro was a little too slow when Ignacio Mastache got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-2. Guillermo Marin kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
