In the 17th minute, Zacharias Kontoulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Leoncio having to interfere. After 21 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Panos Kontogiannidis who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC MANEKENI CLUB's Panos Kontogiannidis to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Sly Goodwick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Sly Goodwick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Guaberto Jorrin scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 3-0. Toma Draganov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toma Draganov struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC MANEKENI CLUB. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC MANEKENI CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toma Draganov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mavrudi Barúmov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sly Goodwick in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Cengiz Yadigar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Patricio Costa off the ground. In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Guaberto Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
