Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) FC Cosula-BTF-'s Filip Hosu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Dacian Jurăscu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 4th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Dacian Jurăscu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidiu Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dacian Jurăscu. 29 minutes into the game, Emilian Bădila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Jurăscu in the 34th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Dacian Jurăscu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Cosula-BTF-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dacian Jurăscu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dacian Jurăscu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Dacian Jurăscu struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Cosula-BTF-. A sloppy throw-in by Emilian Bădila in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. After a rather tough play, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Irinel Irimescu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Dacian Jurăscu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Aurel Lăceanu was substituted for Petre Bogătan. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Vintilă Bădescu was substituted for Ciprian Gaiță. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Cosula-BTF-'s Emilian Bădila. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. In the 83rd minute Olimpiu Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilian Bădila kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 88th minute of play. FC Cosula-BTF- were furious when Aurelian Giurcă was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 89 played minutes FC Cosula-BTF- got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Giurcă. Tomas Illescas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Cosula-BTF- had won, even though Venezuela had held more of the ball.
