Cesare Cardillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesare Cardillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Victorio Modestio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cesare Cardillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milagros Fraga went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cesare Cardillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Peru were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 于阳朋 in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Peru booed when Lechuguitas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. 于阳朋 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Cardillo having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cesare Cardillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Lechuguitas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Santiago to maneuver through the defense. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Modestio's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Lechuguitas F.C. from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo. Cesare Cardillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cesare Cardillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 81st minute, one of Lechuguitas F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lechuguitas F.C.. Lechuguitas F.C.:s Cesare Cardillo showed great skill when he stopped Luz Tejedor:s penalty. In the 83rd minute, Modesto Amor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lechuguitas F.C. made a substitution. Hélio Nascimento replaced 于阳朋. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Arnulfo Tercero was substituted for Victorio Modestio. Modesto Amor kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Peru's Rafael Gallo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 91st minute, Florian Corales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emmanuel Reyes during the 92nd minute. After 95 minutes of play, Lechuguitas F.C.'s Hélio Nascimento made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 97th minute Hélio Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
