With 5 minutes on the clock, Alex Cambeiro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 6th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th match minute, Valla Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Esdras to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 17th minute of play forced Valla Fc's goalkeeper Antoine Lovera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antoine Lovera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Ciro Fata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-0. After 27 minutes, Tor-Ivar Kalland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valla Fc and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Valla Fc getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tor-Ivar Kalland hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antoine Lovera skillfully saved the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Fata in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Valla Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Schröder to maneuver through the defense. Antoine Lovera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 40th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Jose Carita in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Valla Fc's Pontus Berglund. Ciro Fata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 50 minutes, Niklas Isaksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valla Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niklas Isaksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Valla Fc booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antoine Lovera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Isaksson came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Valla Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Nykvist to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Antoine Lovera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 73rd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Lovera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Valla Fc's goalkeeper Antoine Lovera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Valla Fc's Antoine Lovera got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Miralles kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Töpfer came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valla Fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tor-Ivar Kalland in the 96th minute. The corner led Valla Fc's Tor-Ivar Kalland to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Cotilla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Valla Fc's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
