The audience thought a goal was coming when Flóki Factor got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dolfo Burgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flóki Factor in the 37th minute of play. Alex Chicote made in the 43rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Patricio Costa. The audience was convinced that Flóki Factor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 50 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flóki Factor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flóki Factor in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Horácio Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® had won after a very even match.
