Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robbe Stroobans started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suleiman Süleyman in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 5 minutes into the match, Peretu City 09's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Francesco Toldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Peretu City 09's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peretu City 09's Francesco Toldo did a great save. In the 11th minute, Suleiman Süleyman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. Robbe Stroobans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marin Bosânceanu went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Israel Jakobe managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Francesco Toldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Peretu City 09's Suleiman Süleyman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Dorel Manole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Dorel Manole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Francesco Toldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francesco Toldo made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute Suleiman Süleyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Peretu City 09's Robbe Stroobans in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. During the 66th minute of the match Salvatore Schillaci completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. Cristian Sancho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 81st minute, Robbe Stroobans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Francesco Toldo. Peretu City 09's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Francesco Toldo in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peretu City 09 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
