Theodosis Kassapis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Sotiris Barberopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Green Horses's Sotiris Barberopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolos Mavrokordatos in the 24th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Apostolos Mavrokordatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Sarmiento charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Sarmiento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apostolos Mavrokordatos got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Olof Dalström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36thth minute of the game Abraham Alguacil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Green Horses's Theodosis Kassapis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Theodosis Kassapis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Alguacil's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotiris Barberopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Theodosis Kassapis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolos Mavrokordatos in the 59th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Notis Bartzokas, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Green Horses booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alguacil didn't get a good kick on the ball.
