Edmundo Espiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theodosis Kassapis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Espiga ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Green Horses booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 88th match minute, Green Horses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apostolos Mavrokordatos to maneuver through the defense. Green Horses's Theodosis Kassapis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Green Horses were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Honduras side.
