The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Mariano during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Jimilio was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Patricio Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Çelik Kadem. The goal made the score 2-2. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Çelik Kadem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Carlos Jimilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Whitmore in the 69th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Correa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çelik Kadem having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Whitmore in the 89th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
