The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Apocalípticos & Caóticos's goalkeeper Erasmo Loi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. 24 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erasmo Loi. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Monty Rogers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Henskens in the 29th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Apocalípticos & Caóticos got a freekick which was hit by Ali Çağrı Şehzat. USA's Cassius Byrne shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Erasmo Loi but with some difficulty. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Gamus, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Fernando Gamus, in the 41st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Apocalípticos & Caóticos. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herbert Henskens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erasmo Loi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Jonathan Calleri was substituted for Fernando Gamus. In the 67th minute, Monty Rogers made a precise shot to the right of Erasmo Loi. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. There was no doubt that USA were the better team. USA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
