Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Talenti Roma Calcio's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christophe Rau came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Mark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christophe Rau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Talenti Roma Calcio's Jeremias Mark sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Buğrahan Vecih made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Talenti Roma Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Christophe Rau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Correa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christophe Rau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Mark in the 61st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Jeremias Mark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 76 played minutes, Talenti Roma Calcio's Benedykt Karwowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talenti Roma Calcio reached it. The corner ended in Jens-Åke Sundström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Benedykt Karwowski made a great header on Talenti Roma Calcio's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save.
