Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Sidro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alberto Tafalla sped through Sacronas Futbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santos Sidro. Denis Stanislao might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Stanislao ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Stanislao got free with Dante Lacasa in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Sidro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Denis Stanislao took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. Santos Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 34th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Sidro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Santos Sidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Santos Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 67th minute of play forced Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santos Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santos Sidro. That made the score 2-3 after 88 minutes of play. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
