Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Clementi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Clementi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 6th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds. But to his dismay, Kevin Arnolds quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Donato Alvarez notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Arnolds in the 18th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Kevin Arnolds in the 22nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bierunese made a substitution. Géza Fodor replaced Donato Alvarez. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Kevin Arnolds made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Arnolds in the 33rd minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiaan Schipper in the 37th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kevin Arnolds made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Christiaan Schipper rounded Costa Rica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. In the 59th minute, Baldomiro Clementi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. After having played for 61 minutes, Kevin Arnolds managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bierunese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Arnolds was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomiro Clementi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Christiaan Schipper put it in 0-10 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 70th minute, but Benito Sanz got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Costa Rica hanging dry this time. In the 72nd minute, Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. In the 75th minute, Bierunese's Christiaan Schipper dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Erben Spiljard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bierunese's supporters rose to their feet, but Erben Spiljard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 79 in the game by Kevin Arnolds from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. Baldomiro Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Arnolds got free with Benito Sanz in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiaan Schipper, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Arnolds in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Arnolds came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Arnolds, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Bierunese played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
