In the 8th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Tequileros FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tequileros FC's goalie and right to Eliseo Mina. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tequileros FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Lécuyer in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Tequileros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ayhan Vuralhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes in the game Camilo Dorio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Angel Osoro. Edgard Lécuyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ayhan Vuralhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Tequileros FC's zone, Milagros Fraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. It was a well-played corner which Julian Murillo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 42 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Lécuyer came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waclaw Szostak was slow to take the kick. During this time Tequileros FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Waclaw Szostak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Lécuyer in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Lécuyer to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Lécuyer in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Milagros Fraga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ayhan Vuralhan. That made the score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. The supporters of Tequileros FC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ayhan Vuralhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tequileros FC made a substitution. Filiberto Bittor replaced Venancio Azeari. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Baudelio in the 74th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Conrado Baudelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Ayhan Vuralhan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ayhan Vuralhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 78th minute of play. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Edgard Magdaleno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ayhan Vuralhan. That made the score 1-3 in the 84 minute of play. Tequileros FC made a substitution. Ildefonso Lorien replaced Blas Esiquio. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Osoro in the 89th minute of the match. Ayhan Vuralhan made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. Rafael Gallo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ayhan Vuralhan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
