Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wang Cheng Xiang took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Erauso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes Alijilán returns's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victor Erauso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Victor Erauso came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Alijilán returns getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Aytuğ Aral hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Alijilán returns booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Wang Cheng Xiang sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Cipriano Tavio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wang Cheng Xiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adilson Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Erauso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Jacobo Azubeli got a free kick in the 58th minute. Felix Luque was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Alijilán returns. Cipriano Tavio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dante Lacasa. 1-2. Alijilán returns made a substitution. Sly Noble replaced Kieth Van Damme. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Aytuğ Aral got a free kick in the 68th minute. Alberto Tafalla came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Victor Erauso could save by the left post. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 73rd minute. The corner ended in Facundo Cadaval almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alijilán returns's Victor Erauso did a great save. In the 78th minute Aytuğ Aral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 79th minute. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Alijilán returns got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Azubeli. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo came free and shot a quick shot against goal 91 minutes in the game, fortunately Victor Erauso had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aytuğ Aral in the 93rd minute of the match.
