Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) When Christiaan Schipper fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bierunese's protests and gave Christiaan Schipper a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Christiaan Schipper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Baldomiro Clementi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kevin Arnolds. 1-0 became the score in the 9th minute when Christiaan Schipper elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds. But to his dismay, Kevin Arnolds quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Kevin Arnolds capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kevin Arnolds really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Kevin Arnolds put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiaan Schipper in the 27th minute of play. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Kevin Arnolds scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 5-0. 33 minutes into the match, Kevin Arnolds notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Werner Kamps having to make a save. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Kevin Arnolds sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Hubert Lever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. After 50 minutes of play, Bierunese's Christiaan Schipper made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 55 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Arnolds came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Clementi in the 58th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Donato Alvarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute Kevin Arnolds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Arnolds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Clementi came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Kevin Arnolds kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Alvarez in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Donato Alvarez who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Costa Rica's goalie and right to Hans Zoetebier. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Costa Rica's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Arnolds in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bierunese's Donato Alvarez in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Costa Rica were furious when Alexander Carballo was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! 98 minutes into the game, Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. Bierunese's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
