Tym Tym's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. Leonard Vlăsiu had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Pardo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Leonard Vlăsiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 5th minute. Leonard Vlăsiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Leonard Vlăsiu in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ioan Lazăr's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ioan Lazăr helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, Tym Tym was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Lazăr to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Leonard Vlăsiu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Campos during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 18 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Angelescu came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Nicodim Bacalbașa charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicodim Bacalbașa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paraguay made a substitution. Marco Romero replaced Hector Covarrubias. A collision led to Tym Tym getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Nicodim Bacalbașa hit a great ball. With a little luck, Tym Tym's Leonard Vlăsiu got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ioan Lazăr hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Domide in the 34th minute of the match. Paraguay's attentive Xavier Zoido managed to snatch the ball when Victor Angelescu made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by George Cârneci in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Marco Romero. In the 40th minute, Alexandru Stolniciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes Tym Tym got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Bacalbașa. If Marco Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes, Marco Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Tym Tym players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Romero to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narcis Domide made a kick off. 50 minutes into the game, George Cârneci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tym Tym's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. George Cârneci kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Marco Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. After 62 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Marco Romero. Narcis Domide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute Victor Angelescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tym Tym getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nicodim Bacalbașa hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Victor Angelescu in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. Paraguay's Marco Romero quite brazenly broke a throw-in by George Cârneci, made in the 81st minute of the game. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Tym Tym's Narcis Domide. But to his dismay, Narcis Domide quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.
