Caetano Galnares started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Marco Pedriza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Pedriza saved RACIN DE CHAWEN from getting behind. Rufo Serra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in RACIN DE CHAWEN's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Pedriza came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efraim Gilabert kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Kartasasmita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Milagros Fraga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marco Pedriza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caetano Galnares in the 29th minute. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Rufo Serra tried to sneak it across the goal line. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Pedriza. RACIN DE CHAWEN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Marco Pedriza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 45th minute of play. Marco Pedriza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The RACIN DE CHAWEN players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Galnares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Pedriza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Marco Pedriza was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Verdeja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelino Verdeja went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufo Serra in the 73rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luz Tejedor scored 2-5 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Pedriza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. RACIN DE CHAWEN made a substitution. Donzel Sobera replaced Tulio Mangas. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Verdeja in the 83rd minute of the match. RACIN DE CHAWEN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. The RACIN DE CHAWEN fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
