An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play forced Apocalípticos & Caóticos's goalkeeper Erasmo Loi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Loi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Erasmo Loi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 9th minute of play. Eymen Kakisim made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Herbert Henskens. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Loi having to interfere. After some careless play in the Apocalípticos & Caóticos defense, Eliseo Mina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erasmo Loi. The Apocalípticos & Caóticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erasmo Loi should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ali Çağrı Şehzat was slow to take the kick. During this time Apocalípticos & Caóticos's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Oscar Salvadore getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Salvadore in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 23rd minute of play forced Apocalípticos & Caóticos's goalkeeper Erasmo Loi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Loi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Prats, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Ali Çağrı Şehzat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Henskens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Herbert Henskens struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apocalípticos & Caóticos. Apocalípticos & Caóticos made a substitution. Jonathan Calleri replaced Fernando Gamus. A collision led to Apocalípticos & Caóticos getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ali Çağrı Şehzat hit a great ball. Milagros Fraga might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Loi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milagros Fraga ran back to his position shaking his head. Erasmo Loi made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. Apocalípticos & Caóticos made a substitution. Manuel Ponciano replaced Herbert Henskens. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Erasmo Loi in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erasmo Loi came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Calleri in the 92nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Gallo came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erasmo Loi could save by the left post.
