Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Unicorns ™'s Calistrat Mihalcea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. If Tudor Bodea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Petrică Ţirpescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 17th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tudor Bodea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Unicorns ™'s Isac Drâmba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 22nd minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Boc in the 26th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Iustinian Petre. 30 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Isac Drâmba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Isac Drâmba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. 39 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Isac Drâmba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Drâmba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Eliseo Noboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isac Drâmba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Tudor Bodea made the kick off in the second half. Octavian Chivu's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavian Chivu helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Plăcintă. Isac Drâmba made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Tudor Bodea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calistrat Mihalcea in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Aurel Huștiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Octavian Chivu was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 87th minute, Octavian Chivu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Lautaro Puig suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Dumitru Geoană charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dumitru Geoană the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Costa Rica made a substitution. Alfredo Zoido replaced Lautaro Puig. Dumitru Geoană kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match Abel Carballo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isac Drâmba skillfully saved the ball.
