Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tião Donatello started the match with the kick off. Rogerio Fontarigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogerio Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rogerio Fontarigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 12th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogerio Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flinston FC - DMZ's Rogerio Fontarigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Rogerio Fontarigo. Flinston FC - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 20th minute, Geoffroy Derveaux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogerio Fontarigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogerio Fontarigo having to interfere. Rogerio Fontarigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogerio Fontarigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogerio Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Flinston FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Flinston FC - DMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luis Andino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rogerio Fontarigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 57 minutes Flinston FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Duarte Seco's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Seco helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Flinston FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Seco. After a rather tough play, Flinston FC - DMZ's Geoffroy Derveaux got a free kick in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Flinston FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Rogerio Fontarigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 played minutes Flinston FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Seco. After a defensive mix-up in Flinston FC - DMZ's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogerio Fontarigo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Herruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogerio Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogerio Fontarigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes Flinston FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Elano da Costa. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Rogerio Fontarigo in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flinston FC - DMZ's Rogerio Fontarigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Flinston FC - DMZ from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogerio Fontarigo. Flinston FC - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
