Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play forced Sleepy Soldiers FC's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Joonatan De Vlaeminck. Sleepy Soldiers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Agustín Saelices played forward. 27 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joonatan De Vlaeminck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Sleepy Soldiers FC's Andres Oper ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Oper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sleepy Soldiers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frits Cromefeldt in the 36th minute. Andres Oper who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joonatan De Vlaeminck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andres Oper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 48th minute Sleepy Soldiers FC were awarded a corner. Frits Cromefeldt went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Sleepy Soldiers FC's corner Frits Cromefeldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Oper made a kick off. Andres Oper struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sleepy Soldiers FC. After having played for 56 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sleepy Soldiers FC's Octavio Ordono got a free kick in the 64th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Joonatan De Vlaeminck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Sleepy Soldiers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Felix Montenegro in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joonatan De Vlaeminck, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th minute, Andres Oper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
