Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Bem Bolado's Marcelinho do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Bem Bolado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Neto to maneuver through the defense. José Maria Branco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. José Maria Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Alves got free with Julio Vera in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bem Bolado's goalkeeper José Maria Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. José Maria Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno das Neves to make the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho do Valle in the 51st minute of play. Turabi Paksan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcelinho do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho do Valle came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Sancho during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 74th minute. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Marcelinho do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Alves during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bem Bolado getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Francisco Alves hit a great ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Marcelinho do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bem Bolado booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bem Bolado succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
