Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kiljan Valbergsson started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Crystals's Jóann Sindrason nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Aaron Alcocer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sváfnir Hásteinsson having to interfere. A collision led to Crystals getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Henrý Reimarsson hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 17 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiljan Valbergsson in the 20th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiljan Valbergsson in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Moruga came free, but Sváfnir Hásteinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiljan Valbergsson in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Jóann Sindrason scored 0-3 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jóann Sindrason in the 35th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jóann Sindrason scored 0-4 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Puig succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 38th playminute. Axel Tasis in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sváfnir Hásteinsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Crystals's Sváfnir Hásteinsson got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Tasiss short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Sváfnir Hásteinsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Tístran Bjargmundarson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Jóann Sindrason managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crystals's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jóann Sindrason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tístran Bjargmundarson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. In the 69th minute, Eliseo Noboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sváfnir Hásteinsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sváfnir Hásteinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 74th minute of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tístran Bjargmundarson in the 75th minute of play. Jóann Sindrason in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kiljan Valbergsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Crystals's Sváfnir Hásteinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sváfnir Hásteinsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Crystals supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Crystals would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
