Nedo Nadi ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Nedo Nadi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Franco Catucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Franco Catucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nedo Nadi got free with Julio Vera in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Catucci having to interfere. Franco Catucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of San Nicolò Kings's Franco Catucci. Franco Catucci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franco Catucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Catucci was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedo Nadi in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Ernesto Tagliente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Catucci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Nicolò Kings's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Nicolò Kings's Franco Catucci did a great save. In the 42nd minute, Nedo Nadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Nildo Sena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Nedo Nadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nedo Nadi in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franco Catucci. San Nicolò Kings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. With a little luck, San Nicolò Kings's Franco Catucci got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franco Catucci was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-6. In the 91st minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedo Nadi in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than San Nicolò Kings throughout the match.
